Phaneesh Murthy is the CEO of Primentor, an advisory firm he founded to help IT services and technology companies replace staffing-based business models with outcome-based ones. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to InfoBeans, CriticalRiver, and Covasant, guiding each on digital transformation and enterprise AI adoption.

Murthy’s career in enterprise technology spans more than three decades. Early on, he built Infosys’s sales organization, helping grow the company’s revenue from under $2 million to $750 million. He later served as CEO of iGate, where he grew the company’s enterprise value from roughly $65 million to approximately $4 billion by introducing an integrated technology-and-operations model he calls “iTOPS.”

Since founding Primentor in 2013, Murthy has focused on helping mid-sized technology companies apply a “Tech/Ops Convergence” approach — integrating siloed technology and operations functions to unlock greater business value. His recent advisory work centers on helping IT services firms adopt enterprise and agentic AI capabilities as part of a broader shift toward outcome-based service models.
